The Redmi K40 Gaming will be powered by the Dimensity 1200, when it launches next week. Although part of an already established lineup, it will basically be a new handset with new cameras, design and other hardware features.
One of them is the shoulder keys for playing, which will appear on the side as soon as the slider is pulled. Here’s a neat video of Redmi explaining how this works.
The brand says that the keys are so good for clicking, that they can even be used as wiggly toys when the user is not playing games. They provide a sharp sound every time they are pressed and closed with a magnet, providing much better feedback than existing solutions.

According to a post on Weib, the shoulders are extremely durable and have been clicked 1.5 million times without error. Thanks to the close-ups in the video, we can also see that the frame will be metal as well as the actual shoulders, while the back panel appears to be made of glass, which would allow for fast wireless charging.
