WWE NXT: Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly sign an illegal match agreement

March 25 (UPI) – Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly have agreed to resolve differences in an unsanctioned match at WWE NXT.

Former teammates from the Undisputed Era turned rivals face-to-face with NXT general manager William Regal on Wednesday. The catchers were surrounded by a security team.

Regal, upset over the way Cole and O’Reilly’s rivalry got out of hand when police got involved last week, suggested an unsanctioned match. O’Reilly still does not have a medical license to compete and NXT will not be liable for any injuries he suffers during the fight.

Cole and O’Reilly got into a war of words before they signed the dashed line. Cole said he didn’t need The Undisputed Era and that the group wouldn’t be relevant without him.

“I grew up a man. I started taking responsibility for my actions. We became stars, but only one of us became a better person. I sold my soul for an undeniable era and I want it back,” O’Reilly said.

The security team had to separate Cole and O’Reilly as they chased after each other and overturned the table. Cole v. O’Reilly will take place the second night in NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, which takes place over two nights on April 7th and 8th.

Also on the WWE NXT, Karrion Kross took over former NXT Tag team champion Oney Lorcan. Kross injured Lorcan’s partner Danny Burch last week, causing Regal to take away Lorcan and Burch’s NXT Tag team championship.

Lorcan fought fiercely against Cross, giving him a number of fierce chops on his chest. Kross overcame the storm and later won the game by hitting Lorcan in the back of the head.

Cross, who will face Finn Balor for the NXT championship night, in TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, addressed the Prince who later entered the ring.

Balor said he discovered Cross’s weakness, saying he was too driven by emotions. The two catchers then stared at the ring. Kross remains undefeated in one-on-one matches.

Raquel González and Dakota Kai have once again teamed up to fight NXT women’s champion Io Shirai and Zoey Stark. González will face Shirai for the title tonight on NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver.

González took over the fight and dropped Stark with a one-handed bomb. González picked up Stark for the second time, threw Shirai into the ring area and delivered another Power-bomb with one hand to Stark to win the match.

Other moments from WWE NXT are Bronson Reed who defeated LA Knight; UK champion Walter defeating Drake Maverick for interrupting referees in a crucial way; Walter accepted Tommas Ciampa’s challenge after Ciampa was attacked by Walter’s group Imperium; NXT women’s team champions Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon successfully defended their titles against Mercedes Martinez and Aliyah; and NXT heavyweight champion Jordan Devlin by defeating Kushida.

Devlin was faced by fellow heavyweight champion Santos Escobar. Hall of Famous Shawn Michaels came down through the entrance ramp and threw the ladder into the ring, which is a suggestion for Devlin and Escobar to find out who the real champion is in the toughest category by playing the ladder.
