Vice-Rector of the State University of Ekiti (EKSU), prof. Edward Olanipekun, says the institution will continue to support the demands of the National Commission for Universities in all of its academic programs.
Olanipekun said this while receiving the NAC’s re-accreditation team for the university’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), on Monday in Ado-Ekita.
He assured the NUC team of the cooperation of the institution’s management during the re-accreditation exercise.
The vice-chancellor also praised Governor Kayoda Fayemi, who is a visitor to the university, for resuscitating the Medical School, which has long been abandoned.
According to him, the college is now adequately funded, with the necessary manpower.
In his remark, the leader of the NUC team, prof. Samuel Asala, said the exercise was not a witch hunt, but a measure to measure improvement to ensure quality.
