River State Governor Nyesom Wike has challenged a forum of Nigerian governors to stop uttering words and speaking out against increased insecurity in the country.
Governor Wike said this during the commissioning of Obagi-Woji Street in GRA, Port Harcourt.
The governor, who said that his administration is committed to the development of the state, added that it was wrong for the governor’s forum to sit on the fence in the matter that is ravaging the country.
“Everything in the country has collapsed. Security has collapsed, the economy has collapsed, nothing is working in Nigeria.
“People should know that we don’t talk just because we want to talk. I have heard them say that progressive governors and the governor’s forum speak at the level of insecurity. No! They should go out and say that the ruling party has failed the Nigerians.
“The Nigerians have given power to the APC. Therefore; they have to admit that the Nigerians failed, ”Wike said.
