UFC 260 returns to Sin City for the big night of MMA action this Saturday, March 27, when French-Cameroonian fighter Francis Ngannou seeks redemption in his long-awaited rematch with American champion Stipe Miocic.
Ngannou (15-3-0) reportedly improved and matured since the pair’s first clash in January 2018. In fact, he was in a string of four consecutive KO wins, including an unforgettable win against Jairzinho Rosenstruik at UFC 249 May.
“He’s definitely gotten better, but there’s also one factor that everyone thinks hits hard, and he hits hard,” Stipe told reporters. “You have to watch that.”
How hard does Ngannou hit? According to UFC President Dana White, “[His] the blows are “equivalent to 96 horsepower. That’s the equivalent of a Ford Escort hitting the fastest it can go. And it’s more powerful than a 12-pound hammer at full power overhead.”
Stipe (20-3-0) may be the title holder, but this one won’t take it lightly, especially with the 3in lack. “It’s not going to be anything like the first fight because it definitely got better, and so did I,” the 38-year-old mixed martial arts artist from Ohio remarked. “I think the one who best implements their game plan will win.”
