Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS) and One Division of the Nigerian Army neutralized two bandits in the Buruku municipal area in the Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.
Several other bandits also fled with life-threatening injuries during operations against armed bandits covering five areas of local government in the Central Senate District of Kaduna.

According to Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Internal Affairs Samuel Aruwan, the troops conducted search and rescue operations around the Buruku forest, right in the village of Rima, where contact was established with bandits around the village of Buruku.
He says that the troops engaged the gangs in the armed struggle, after which the two criminals were neutralized, while during the action, several gangster camps were cleaned and destroyed.
