The Powerpuff Girls Set Photos reveals the first look at the Live-Action Reboot

The first posted photos of the relaunch of Powerpuff Girls from The CW reveal the first look at Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault in costumes.

The first set of photos from the live action of The CW Powerpuff Girls the reboot show reveals the main members of the cast in the classic costumes of the characters. It’s been over 15 years since the new episodes Powerpuff Girls broadcast on Cartoon Network. The original animated series launched a popular multimedia franchise focused on Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup – three young superpowers. In the latest extension Powerpuff Girls franchise, CW restarts the asset as an active series.

CW Powerpuff Girls the series comes from Juno writer Diablo Cody, A dormant valleyHeather Regnier and Arrowverse producer Greg Berlanti. It has been in development since August 2020, but has recently made a big step forward. The lead actors have been confirmed, Chloe Bennet plays Blossom, Dove Cameron plays Bubbles, and Yana Perrault plays Buttercup. Less than a month after their relationship with Powerpuff Girls became official, the first look at the trio arrived thanks to the first photo posted.

TMZ shared the first photo and video from The CW’s live-action set Powerpuff Girls restart. It depicts all three stars in the character’s distinctive suits in bright colors. Blossom has her typical pink look, Bubbles are blue, and Buttercup still has her green dress. The recorded video then shows Blossom flying as Bubbles and Buttercup run behind her.

This is the first look Powerpuff Girls come on the first day of filming. The CW has so far only published a pilot order for the series, meaning the show hasn’t been picked up all season yet. A reboot will imagine the Powerpuff Girls as “disappointed 20-year-olds who resent losing their childhood in the fight against crime” and surface to save the world again. Donald Faison plays Professor Utonium – the scientist who gives the Powerpuff Girls their powers – and can be seen in the background of the posted video.

So far, Powerpuff Girls‘costumes in live action generally remain true to the way the characters appeared in the animation. While some may resent the simplicity of the design, there is a possibility that the costumes will evolve as the story progresses. Dresses aren’t the most practical clothes for three twenty-two superheroes, so some upgrades could be found. If that is the case, then Powerpuff Girls they will at least be able to make references to the characters ’traditional costumes to please fans. Well again, we can’t count these costumes that are retained for most of the show, so time will tell if this will be the final costumes for a live relaunch.
