The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has changed the date and venue of the Southwest Congress.

The exercise will now take place on April 12, compared to April 10, the exercise was originally charged.

The venue of the congress was also moved from Ibadan in the state of Oyo to Osogbo, the capital of the state of Osun.

The PDP said in a statement on Thursday by its spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan that the change in the date and venue was part of resolutions passed by the party leadership to address the polluting crisis in the southwestern PDP.

“The national leadership of the PDP ensures work with all stakeholders in order to achieve a smooth and unifying congress of our great party in the southwestern zone.

“The PDP calls on all leaders of our party, critical stakeholders and crowds of members of our party in the southwest and the entire country to lead accordingly,” the statement added.
