An angry mob on Tuesday set fire to two suspected armed robbers in the Ugbokodo community in the Okpa area of Delta State.
One of the three-member hair gangs fled the scene of the incident, reports the Daily Mail.
The deceased suspect was found to be in a robbery in the area.
They robbed some residents of an indefinite amount of money and other personal belongings with rifles.
They were arrested after one of the residents who raised the alarm after the robbery, which attracted the crowd while the suspects were conducting a hot chase.
Two of the three suspects were caught and set on fire quickly, while the other escaped.
When we were contacted for comments, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a telephone conversation with our Warri correspondent.
She said, “It’s true, but I didn’t find out the details.”
