Security agencies have reported to the Kaduna state government about the killing of six bandits by the mafia in the Sangu and Lere local areas of Kaduna state.
According to operational feedback, on December 24, 2020, in the town of Fadan Karshi in the Sanga local government area, two bandits attacked a businessman and took his money and other valuables.
The commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Internal Affairs of the state of Kaduna said that the army and the police, having received a call for help, went to that place. However, upon arrival at the scene, some angry locals had already lynched the bandits and burned them to ashes.
In the same local government, armed bandits opened fire on motorists driving on the Aboro-Kafanchan road on Thursday night.
The bullets hit one Richard Sabo who knocked one of the bandits to death while driving. Unfortunately, Mr. Sabo who suffered gunshot wounds was confirmed dead at Gwantu General Hospital.
In the local government of Lera, security agencies reported that some bandits from a neighboring state who specialized in stealing cattle were also killed by mafia action.
According to the report, the bandits were persecuted and overpowered in the village of Domawa, where the three of them welcomed their end at the hands of the mafia.
On a sad note, the government received a report of the murder of a commercial motorcyclist, one Hudu Yahaya from the village of Ungwan Nungu, the Sanga local government. He was beheaded by bandits who fled with his motorcycle.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai extended his condolences to the families of Richard Sabo and Hudu Yahaya and prayed for the peace of their souls.
The governor also strongly urged citizens to continue to invoke the law and not resort to justice in the jungle.
