The Lagos State Police Command is currently investigating 42-year-old David Idibie for the murder of his wife Juliana Idibie at their residence in Joado Street, Oke Ira Nla, Ajah area in Lagos.
It was learned that the deceased Juliana had engaged David’s wife in a heated debate on certain marital issues, and in the process she fainted and suffered a severe head injury, on February 16, 2021, around 10 p.m.
As he lay in a pool of blood, the angry husband refused to save her until she renounced her spirit.
Confirming the incident, Lagos CSP State Police Command spokesman Adejobi Olumuyiwa said a police operative at the Langbas department, Ajah, who was briefed by the couple’s neighbor on the ugly incident, rushed to the scene, arrested the suspect and evacuated the body to the morgue.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu condemned the act and vowed to work with other relevant government agencies and NGOs to combat domestic violence in the state.
Odumosu ordered that the matter be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for proper investigation. Reiterating its zero tolerance for crimes and crimes, especially domestic violence, CP Hakeem Odumosu warns couples to always resolve their differences and conflicts with decency and maturity because the law will not dig anyone who kills their spouse.
Communicating with the family and friends of the deceased due to her untimely death, CP Hakeem Odumos promises to ensure that justice is served in this case.
