Just months after actor Jason Sudeikis won the Golden Globe for his role in “Ted Lasso,” Apple announced that the hit comedy would return to Apple TV Plus for a second season on July 23.

“Ted Lasso”, a football comedy focused on the fictional British team AFC Richmond, plays Sudeikis in the show’s title role. Lasso is an American coach hired to lead AFC Richmond, although he has no “experience,” according to Apple’s synopsis.

The show premiered in August 2020, and Apple renewed the series for another two seasons. The second season will feature 12 brand new episodes. The show has received critical acclaim and currently has a “91% fresh” rating on the Rotten Tomatoes review collection site.

How to watch ‘Ted Lasso’

The second season of “Ted Lasso” will premiere on Apple TV Plus on July 23. It is unclear whether all 12 seasons of the season will premiere on that date or the episodes will arrive weekly. In the first season, Apple debuted three episodes at once, and then switched to a weekly schedule.

In addition to the upcoming second season, all 10 episodes of “Ted Lasso” from the first season can currently be broadcast on Apple TV Plus.

Apple TV Plus costs $ 5 per month to access all exclusive streaming shows and movies on the platform. New members can get a free seven-day trial, and people who buy select Apple devices can get a free one-year subscription. This offer is only good if you use the free subscription within 90 days of purchasing the device.

You can access Apple TV Plus on most media devices and smart TV brands, including Apple TV 4K, Roku and Fire TV.

Apple also connects Apple TV Plus with other services as part of its Apple One platform. The basic package includes Apple TV Plus, Apple Music, 50 GB of iCloud and Apple Arcade for $ 15 a month. Other plans include more iCloud storage, and if you pay $ 30 a month, you can get both Apple News Plus and Apple Fitness Plus.

New Apple One members can get a free one-month trial for all services they haven’t signed up for before. If you’re interested in any other Apple service, the Apple One is a better deal than the Apple TV Plus on its own.
