New Delhi, December 25 (IANS): Like Apple’s AirTag, Samsung is working on a new tracking device called the Galaxy Smart Tag to track nearby devices, and now a new report has revealed the product’s first look.
According to GizmoChina, the Samsung Galaxy Tag tracker will have a rounded square shape reminiscent of Tile trackers.
The shape of the ring appears to be in the middle, and the cutout at the top, “which could be a button that can be pressed to find a connected phone.”
The report also said the Smart Tag will be in black and white (oatmeal).
The small animation also shows the tracker’s (Bluetooth) tracking function.
Earlier, a new device called the “Galaxy Smart Tag” was spotted in Indonesian telecom certification applications.
Apple has also worked on tracking plates called AirTag, but there is no data when the technology giant plans to launch Bluetooth copper.
The certification time for the Galaxy Smart Tag suggests it could be shown during the Galaxy S21 series, just like the Galaxy Buds Pro in January.
Samsung announced the SmartThings Find service in October, which can quickly and easily locate Galaxy devices.
