Psyonix announces ‘Rocket League Sideswipe’ for mobile devices

Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced a new mobile game called Rocket League Sideswipe.

The developer announced the mobile game via its official website on Wednesday, March 24th. According to the announcement, the game will be available for free on iOS and Android devices sometime this year, although the release date has not been announced yet.

The game will have “essential, competitive play Rocket League”And it’s reworking it for a mobile platform. In the game it will be seen that the players participate in 1v1 or 2v2 matches. Each match will last only two minutes.

Psyonix also posted footage Rocket League Sideswipealpha gameplay. As suggested in the title of the game, players will operate their cars by dragging sideways on their mobile devices, with the goal of scoring goals with giant balls and nets.

The game will also feature advanced mechanics for those who want to participate in competitive rankings. An online ranking system for the competitive game will also be included. Players will also be able to customize their cars.

Psyonix has also confirmed that players in Australia and New Zealand can now enjoy a limited regional Alpha test on Android devices via the Google Play store. Future tests for other regions are currently being planned.

In other mobile game news, PUBG Mobile recently crossed over a billion downloads and counts globally. The game was first launched in March 2018 and reached a major milestone in time for its third anniversary.

A new way to play for PUBG Mobile has also been announced. It will give players a chance to meet Godzilla and King Kong from the upcoming ones Godzilla vs Kong film. The launch date of the new game mode has not yet been confirmed.
