Police confirm the abduction of a worker in a quarry in Ibadan

The CAGG denies allegations of alleged abuse of 24 suspects in police custody

A worker at the Damilol Agbool quarry was abducted on Monday by unknown gunmen on the Old-Oyo-Ibadan road.

The state’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the abduction in a statement available to reporters Tuesday in Ibadan.

Fadeyi said information received from Divisional Police Officer Moniya (DPO) revealed that Agboolu had been abducted on Monday around 1pm by a suspected five-member gang.

“DPO Moniya’s information revealed that on December 21, 2020, at around 1:00 p.m., an Agboola Damilola ‘from Delydad Quary staff was abducted along the Old-Oyo Ibadan road by a suspected five-man criminal gang.”

The DPO received the information immediately, took action and a coordinated search began. ”

Efforts have been stepped up to arrest criminal elements and save the victim so that she can reunite with family members, ”Fadeyi said.

PPRO appealed to the representatives of the public to immediately warn the police about the movements and activities of the kidnappers for quick action.
