PHOTOS: Northern governors visited Makinda because of the Shasha crisis

Some northern governors visited Seyi Makinde, their state counterpart from Oy, because of the Shash crisis.

Tensions arose in the area after the ethnic conflict led to the death of one person, while several properties were destroyed.

The governors arrived in Oyo on Monday night.

“Tonight, we greeted the governors @GovUmarGanduje, @ Bellomatawalle1, Abubakar Bagudu and @abusbello, who visited us in solidarity. “We discussed the strategies that our administration is establishing to maintain the peaceful coexistence of all the inhabitants of the state of Oyo,” Makinde tweeted.

On Sunday, Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of the state of Ondo, visited Shasha in the company of Makinde and urged residents to accept peace.

In other news earlier Monday, governors of the Northwest they met in Kaduna state to discuss insecurity in the zone.
