The Forum of Governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday donated N100 million to the victims of a recent hell that flattened part of the Tudun Wada market in Gusau, Zamfara.

Governor Amina Tambuwal of Sokot and the chairman of the forum announced this when he led five other PDP governors to cooperate with the government and people of Zamfara over the incident.

Tambuwal led the governors of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed, Adamawa, Umar Fintiri, Oya, Seyi Makinde, Rivers, Nyeson Wike and Darius Gayus of Taraba on a visit to Gusau Government House.

He described hell as an act of God, saying the forum visit was arranged because the incident happened, but that circumstances then prevented them from doing so.

Announcing a donation of N100 million to traders, Tambuwal warned politicians not to use the fire incident to advance their political interests.

Responding, Governor Bello Matawalle thanked the PDP governors for the visit saying it was timely.

Part of the Tudun Wada market in Gusau on Sunday, March 21, destroyed more than 60 destroyed stores inside.
