Huddersfield Town return to John Smith’s Stadium for the first of their home games, as they take over Rotherham United.

The match will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 3 p.m.

After a disappointing display in East Anglia at the top of Norwich, the Terriers will rest with a win this weekend.

Rotherham United are currently sitting in the relegation zone, at seven points of safety, but will have an extra degree of optimism as they have four games in hand.

After losing to rivals Wycombe Wanderers relegation 3-0 on Monday night, the Millers will try to leave John Smith Stadium with all three points.

Paul Warne will also be ready to ward off the Millers from danger in their first season back in the championship after winning an automatic promotion with the team last season.

Rotherham’s away form showed them that they are more successful on the road, taking 20 points from 18 games, compared to 15 points from 18 at home.

The opposition enters the game with two wins in the last 10 matches.

Both wins came from home, so the Millers will add a third when they get to HD1.

Town entered the game due to a 7-0 defeat away to Norwich, the first defeat in six games for the Terriers.

Returning to the home turf, the Terriers will resolutely take all three points on Saturday.

Michael Smith

The 29-year-old striker has so far enjoyed an impressive season for the Millers. He is currently the club’s top scorer, tying in the championship from last season with nine in 36 appearances.

He also likes to contribute goals, adding three assists to his name.

Since signing Bury in 2018, he has always been present on the team and has been influential in their promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

Freddie Ladapo

After an easy start to the campaign, Ladapo has regained some of the form that made it Rotherham’s top scorer last season in their winning campaign.

Since arriving from Plymouth Argyle in 2018 for a club record fee, the 28-year-old has scored 21 goals in 64 appearances for the South Yorkshire team.

With seven goals so far this season, including preparation against the promotion that chased Bournemouth, the Millers frontman will seek to add his overall score against Town.

Wes Harding

Since his arrival from Birmingham City at the start of the current season, Harding has played in all league games this season for Rotherham United.

The defender has been deployed to several positions for the Millers this season, playing center back, right back and as a defensive midfielder.

The 24-year-old has recorded three assists so far, and he received his first call-up to the Jamaican national team ahead of last month’s international break.

Town takes the lead over Rotherham when it comes to their previous encounters, winning 31, drawing 16 and losing 10.

The Terriers have only lost once in their last 19 games against the visitors – a 2-0 defeat in 2015.

The reverse schedule earlier this season ended entirely at the New York Stadium, after Angus MacDonald’s last-minute own goal let Huddersfield go with a point.

Our home game against Rotherham United is one of 12 games across the Sky Bet Championship this weekend. All start times are 15:00, unless otherwise stated.
