Outriders are only a week old, and players of a certain class end up frowning.
Once you finish the Outriders campaign, a part of the People Can Fly robbers from Expeditions is introduced. This is the ultimate Outriders game – something that will make people play for months. The video below explains how the Expeditions work.
There are 15 unique missions here, each containing top-notch loot. The top layer is the Challenge Tier system, which affects the difficulties the enemies you face and the level of prey.
In addition, the faster you complete the expedition, the greater the chance of inflicting high-quality items (for example, the percentage chance of a legendary fall increases). This means that Expeditions are basically fast rides that cause damage. So running around as fast damage as possible is the name of the game. Here, the Devastator is fighting. And that’s why some kick Razorniks out of the cooperative when they find themselves paired with one.
The devastator is reportedly a Outriders tank, although damage can be done. The problem is that the damage from the Devastator cannot compete with that from other classes (Technomancer, Pyromancer and Trickster). And the way Expeditions work makes output damage a pretty important measure of success.
I’ve seen examples of the Devastator network complaining about being kicked out of the cooperative – and their resultant fight for a farm for better equipment. I myself am a major member of the Devastator and the class is certainly fighting to the detriment of the damage. But no one knew how the end meta “target” would play out when choosing the main one just a week ago. And now, just seven days later, the Destroyers find it difficult.
Oh man, I love playing the devastator from the r / outrider
I play solo as a Devastator from r / outrider
The situation triggered an interesting discussion about the rights and injustices of lifting players from cooperative activities. Would those who simply want the best chance of gaining the best booty be to blame for not wanting to play with the Devastators, given the clear difference in damage? Or should they play with the Devastators if a matching Outriders connects them, knowing that running could negatively impact them?
It seems too early to talk about changes to the balance of the Outriders given the range of technical issues the game has faced – and continues to face. But I guess the developers in People Can Fly will keep a close eye on how Expeditions are played.
