OPPO Reno 5 4G Global version detailed in a practical video

Started to unveil the OPPO Reno 5 Series in China earlier this month, OPPO is gearing up to launch the Reno 5 4G for global markets. The phone was spotted on several certification sites, including NBTC, EEC and TKDN, a few weeks ago, hinting at an imminent launch, and now a hand-held video posted by Indonesian YouTube has given us a first look at this upcoming smartphone.

It was called the Indonesian Technology YouTube Channel Next Grid has released a practical video variant of the OPPO Reno 5 4G (Global) showing the overall design and display of the smartphone. As you can see in the video, the design of the OPPO Reno 5 is very identical to the Reno 4, but YouTuber mentions OPPO has made a few subtle changes to the material making it feel completely different in the hands – especially he mentions the back of the Reno 5 4G seems more textured and rougher than the Renault 4. The phone will be available in at least two colors: starry black and fantasy white.

Although the video did not enter the smooth hardware, a separate leak from the famous leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore revealed some key specifications of the Renault 5 4G. According to Sudhanshu, the Reno 5 4G will have a 6.4-inch FHD + AMOLED display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and will offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory. In the camera department, the Reno 5 4G will have four rear cameras consisting of primary 64MP, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensors. Finally, the phone will pack a 4.310 mAh battery with SuperVOOC support for fast charging of 50 W, a fingerprint scanner on the screen, and on top it will run Android 11 with ColorOS v11.1.

All in all, the Reno 5 4G doesn’t seem to differ much from the Reno 4 Pro Global, which launched in July, and the only difference between them is the primary camera, battery and charging speed.

OPPO has not yet shared any information on when it plans to launch the Renault 5 4G to global markets. However, since the phone has already reached the hands of some YouTubers, it shouldn’t be long before we hear the official announcement of the OPPO.
