She wrote, “Yinka, there can be no goodbye; it’s good night and see you later on the other side with God. I will just carelessly leave in the shadow of your cast … Since no one is allowed in the critical care unit, we have committed you to the care of the best qualified LASUTH medics and God’s hand hoping to see you the next morning.
“The medics said that they could not figure out how to immediately convey the message of your passage to me directly. Now that I have your death certificate, I see that you passed exactly at 10.40pm on Good Friday (April 2, 2021) and not on the morning of Saturday, April 3, 2021) as originally reported.
“Because of the principle of truth and speaking as it is, that Yinka and I are dear – and because of which Yinka lived his entire adult life – it is important to bring out this very important record immediately.”
Okei-Odumakin, who is also a prominent human rights activist, expressed optimism that Nigeria will be great during her lifetime.
“You have come! You have seen !! and you have won !!! We will pass the baton in the eternal word of our leader. Nigeria will be saved, Nigeria will change and Nigeria will become a great state. Nigeria will work for my life and even for you, while you live in me, our children and the generation that is still unborn, ”she added.
