Meek Mill says his tweet yesterday about not “giving like a ** t” isn’t aimed at Vanessa Bryant. He also says that he apologized to her privately.
Mill’s latest single “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe)” includes a section that has sparked some disgruntled reactions among Kobe fans. The lyrics go like this:
“This b * tch, I’m ** **, always tells me she loves, but she never showed it to me
Yes, and if I ever miss him, I go out with my helicopter, it will be another Kobe. “

Vanessa Bryant rebuked Meek in a harsh statement for taking advantage of Kobe Bryant’s death in this way:
“Dear @meekmill, I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I’m not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. “
“If you’re a fan, all right, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. There is a lack of respect and tact here. ”
Meek Mill says he apologized for using Kobe’s death to his widow Vanessa Bryant
Meek Mill made the following statement on his Twitter regarding the entire song saga. However, he did not say at all about his thoughts on his own work in writing the song:
“I apologized to her privately earlier today, and not to the public … Nothing I say on my page is aimed at a viral moment from the Internet or the family of a grieving woman!” If you care about someone who is grieving, change the subject! “
