Nine suspected attackers of the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), prof. Chukwuma Soluda, was arrested in the state of Anambra.

Governor Willie Obiano announced this at the Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center in Awki

Soludo, a leading governor candidate for the Grand Progressive Alliance (APGA), was attacked in Isuofia by some gunmen during a town hall meeting with youth last month.

Three of his police officers were killed and others were wounded, but Soludo was protected from the arena unharmed.

Utility Commissioner Emeku Ezenwanne was also abducted by gunmen who released him a few days later.

Obiano said in a public presentation: “Governor Willie Obiano: 7 years of providing good governance in the state of Anambra has been written by a dozen people, including Dr. Emeku Arinze.

He said: “What happened last month was unfortunate, but let me tell you, we have re-strategic and are coming out like a rifle.

“We will not take prisoners. The nine people who attacked Professor Soluda are now in our network. We will eliminate them. We will follow the others.

“We will not take prisoners anymore. A special team has already been assembled that is already working everywhere. “

He was surrounded by all heads of services in the state, including the army, police, navy, civil defense and others.
