Chelsea already have their defensive target in sight ahead of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to reports in Spain, which claim that Seville star Jules Kounde is on the Blues ’radar and is the‘ answer ’to their defensive questions.
Chelsea have been mostly solid on defense under Thomas Tuchel, but have shown they can still concede goals with a shocking 5-2 defeat by West Brom for the last time in the Premier League.
That could lead the Blues to sign a defender this summer, and it is claimed that Kounde, who has become one of the most sought-after center-backs in world football, could be that man.

Seville La Colina de Nervion experts claim that Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested, and a transfer could be very possible.
It is claimed that Seville boss Monchi will “listen to offers” but will not facilitate the exit, knowing only how much is being sought for Kounde and how much is worth.
A £ 50 million compensation was mentioned, but this latest report could suggest that Monchi will endure closer to the defender’s £ 68 million release clause.

Anyway, the Kounds will cost quite a bit this summer, and with Chelsea’s top striker on the radar, it’s unclear if the Blues are willing to spend that much to secure center-backs, especially if Thiago Silva extends his stay another season.
Kounde has been in Seville since his move from Bordeaux in 2019, and he has impressed both this and last season, collecting a total of 54 appearances in La Liga.
The Frenchman joined Sevilla for around 20 million pounds, which means that the Andalusian club will more than double its money if it is forced to sell its defender.
