Lagos: Police are looking for a man who hit a police officer with a bottle [VIDEO]

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into an attack on a traffic police officer, ASP Daud Ajayi, attached to the slaughterhouse department, as recorded in a video that went viral on Wednesday.

Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu said he was surprised by the actions of the driver and some individuals in the viral video.

He ordered that the case be investigated in detail, while the driver and his accomplices involved in the crime must face the full wrath of the law.

On Wednesday, around 12.30 pm, there was a case of a collision and the initiation of a serious accident in which the vehicle reg. Br. BDG 756 YA, which hit a car in camry reg. Br. KJA 281 GQ.

As a result, the motorcycle driver, Ashir Saad, was hit and seriously injured.

The driver of the camry car waited, but the driver of the Dyna vehicle with Reg. Br. BDG 746 YA fled the scene.

A police officer chased him and stopped him in the area of ​​the Oko-Oba pipeline. The driver jumped out of the vehicle, attacked the traffic warden and broke the bottle on his head. The policeman suffered various degrees of injuries.

Odumosu warned the general public to refrain from launching attacks on police personnel and other security agencies, as such would tactically resist and blame the culprits in court.
