LA Galaxy signed Mexican wunderkind Alcala for his first professional contract

TheLA Galaxy have completed the signing of Mexican teenage prodigy Alex Alcale, the club announced.

Alcala, 15, has been training at the Galaxy Academy since 2020 and has now signed his first professional contract.

The talented midfielder will play for the Galaxy II, but will have the opportunity to play alongside compatriots Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, Jonathan dos Santos and Efrain Alvarez in the first team.

“Alex is a young talent we are happy to develop in a professional environment,” LA Galaxy CEO Dennis and Kloese told the club’s official website.

Alcala, whose parents are Mexican, was born in Stockton, California. He represented Mexico at the U15 and U16 levels.

Alcala’s social media skills videos have gone viral in Mexico and have caught the attention of several clubs, including Manchester City and Barcelona, ​​who have invited him to train with them in 2019.
