Kim Kardashian, who is a media personality, socialite, model, businesswoman, producer and actor, adds a new achievement to her already impressive resume. The star is expanding her beauty empire by coming out with her own skincare line.
According to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old star applied for a trademark for a skin care brand called ‘SKKN by Kim’ on March 30, according to documents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Soon the lawyer, who already has her namesake makeup brand KKW Beauty, filed a trademark for a handful of cosmetic products as well as for beauty services.
Judging by the application, the star’s new venture will include skin care, hair care, nail products, perfumes, candles and more. The documents contained a total of 19 applications for “various goods and services” under the upcoming stamp.
“It’s no surprise that Kim is coming out with a skin care line. She’s talked about her passion for skin care especially in the last 6 to 8 months,” a source told Us Weekly.
A skin care job, whether in the form of cosmetic services or products, would be a natural next step for the mogul, who earned a spot on Forbes ’list of world billionaires on Tuesday.
Kim not only proved her success in makeup and fragrances with KKW, but also proved to be a smart strategist, selling 20 percent of KKW Beauty to City Inc. for $ 200 million in 2020.
Kim already oversees the KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance brands, along with Skims, her line of styled clothing and dresses.
The star would also like celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Carmen Electra in offering stand-alone skin care, as well as Hailey Baldwin, who is set to launch her Rhode Beauty line this year.
