Kelly Clarkson has found a way to help her navigate her painful divorce – pretending to go out on her own.
The pop star has been honest in her struggle to cope with her painful separation from her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock – the father of her two children, River Rose, a six-year-old and four-year-old Remington – but she has a new trick to deal with.
“I’m in a place where I think a lot of people, as I’ve heard, are going through a divorce (moving on); it’s almost like you’re starting to date yourself again,” guest Gwyneth Paltrow said during her show on U.S. TV on Wednesday.
“You’re actually making time for yourself again, and I like going out with me,” she explained.
And although the Oscar winner, who found happiness with her second husband Brad Falchuk after her divorce from Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, assured Kelly that she would find love again, hitmaker Since U Been Gone insisted she might be interested “in the future” but she is currently fine with her company.
“I’m not really looking for that (love),” Kelly smiles, admitting that Gwyneth’s happy second marriage really gave her hope.
“It’s a nice thing for people like me who are going through a divorce and who want it in the future, knowing it can and probably will happen to you,” she added.
