Jose Mourinho doesn’t worry about Harry Kane’s backup Football News

LONDON: Jose Mourinho is ready to choose Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane for Sunday premier league clash with the Wolves despite having played their entire victory in the mid-week League Cup quarter-final over Stoke.
Kane scored 3-1 on Wednesday to set up the semi-final against Brentford from the championship.
The Spurs are waiting for three league games within a week – they play Fulham on Wednesday and then Leeds United on Saturday of the week – in the hope that it will increase the pressure on the leaders Liverpool.
They are sixth on the table, six points ahead of the champions.
This time last year Kane suffered a tendon injury to have it removed for six months.
He has scored nine league goals this season, but has also created a South Korean striker Sin Heung-min, main user, networking 11 times.
“I hope he (Kane) plays the next match,” boss Mourinho said.
“It was Wednesday, the next match is on Sunday, I believe a player like him who works hard and takes good care of himself with a great professional life I believe he will be ready for the game against the Wolves in three days.”
French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele will also be available for selection.
Mourinho took it off at halftime of a 2-0 home defeat to Leicester last Sunday and missed a trip to bet635 stadium.
“Tanguy is in shape, but he didn’t come to Stoke. It’s my decision, but he’s in shape,” Mourinho said.
Still, one player who will not appear in at least the next three league games is Argentina midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
The 24-year-old suffered a tendon injury in his back.
“No, he won’t be in shape,” Mourinho said.
“I don’t know how long he’ll be out, I believe he certainly won’t play at this time of Christmas and New Year.”
