iQOO Z3 introduced with Snapdragon 768G, 5G, 120Hz screen and fast charging of 55W

vivo has launched the iQOO Z3 in China, an affordable 5G phone with fast charging and some gaming inspirations based on the Snapdragon 768G chipset and 120 Hz display. The Z3 is currently in the sales phase, availability is set for 7 days.

The Snapdragon 768G chipset is connected to a heat pipe that leads to a graphite cooler which then transfers heat to the air. vivo boldly claims that this system lowers the chipset temperature by 10ºC.

The chipset has 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X dual channel) and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage (UFS 2.2). The storage space can be expanded with a microSD card up to 1 TB. The phone comes with OriginOS (based on Android 11).

The phone has a 6.58 ”LCD with 1080p + resolution (20: 9 aspect ratio). The display supports HDR10 and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz plus a sampling rate of 180 Hz. There is a 16 MP selfie camera (f / 2.0) indented. It unlocks the face or you can use the side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The main camera on the back has a 64MP (f / 1.8) sensor and can record 4K video. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera (120 °, 108º after distortion correction) and a 2MP macro camera.

The IQOO Z3 is powered by a 4,400 mAh battery that supports charging the 55 W flash. This allows for quick recharging – 15% to 60% takes just 15 minutes. And in the box you get the necessary adapter and capable.

The phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. If you want wireless instead, aptX HD and LDAC are supported. Either way, there is a “4D” system of haptic feedback that should provide an immersive experience.

The Qualcomm chipset enables 5G connectivity, which has less lag than 4G. Since vivo designed this phone with the intention of gaming, it has carefully positioned the antennas so that they work well in the landscape while holding the phone with both hands.

You can find the IQOO Z3 in the official vivo web store and other online retailers like JD.com. The first sale will start on Thursday next week for 1,700 CNY (260 USD / 220 €) for the base model of 6/128 GB. The 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB options are 1,800 CNY and 2,000 CNY, respectively. By the way, the Z3 is an upgraded version of the vivo Y72 5G.
