Inter will commit to step 1 of the reported plan for Gini Wijnaldum

Inter will move forward with the first step from their reporting plan for Gini Wijnaldum. The Italians can shoot the Dutchman.

Inter reported a plan to sign Gini Wijnaldum. This is according to a report by FC Inter News, the TuttoMercatoWeb network.

The plan is relatively simple. They believe they have a chance to persuade Wijnaldum to join, but they need to open up space on their payroll.

Obviously the easiest way to do that is to sell Christian Eriksen. He joined for just £ 17 million a year ago, but never fit in.

If Inter can continue it, then they can offer Wijnaldum what it wants. Given that they also believe that Barcelona cannot afford it, this puts them in a very strong position.

Well, it seems that the first step from that plan is already in the phase. CEO Beppe Marotta openly said Wednesday that the club will sell Eriksen through Sky Sports.

That way they could negotiate a £ 25m deal with Wijnaldum as soon as January.

And we expect them to get it, in fact. Liverpool are in a difficult position regarding Wijnaldum because they reportedly want a four-year contract.

You can imagine that he also wants a significant salary increase. It’s not easy for Liverpool to do that at 30 years old.

Wijnaldum could give up the starting XI this season, let alone until the end of the four-year deal. Liverpool seem reluctant to renew their expiring contract, while Inter would surely be happy to give him what he wants.

They are certainly making moves in that direction.
