Imperial Logistics from the JSE list announced on Tuesday that it had bought South African e-commerce logistics expert Parcelninja. Terms of the agreement have not been announced.
Imperial revealed acquisition details in the interim results for the six months ended December 31, 2020, in which it reported a 15% increase in revenue to R 26.4 billion.
“The purchase of Parcelnina will provide specialized warehouse and distribution management in e-commerce, directly to consumers and informal markets,” the logistics giant said with financial results.
“Enabled by the leading software, processes and human capabilities in South Africa, Parcelninja provides fulfillment in both business channels and business channels, including the informal market, supported by the management and optimization of courier package delivery,” he said.
“This acquisition supports Imperial’s strategic ambitions to accelerate our digital capabilities and expand our logistics and market access services to last-mile distribution, e-commerce fulfillment, trace and scope in Africa, while ensuring local relevance to our clients and directors.”
“IT and marketing people – the guys who usually start e-commerce stores – don’t like to pack boxes and write labels for couriers. That’s why we exist, “explained Justin Drennan, co-founder and CEO of Parcelnina in 2019.” We offer a complete solution for external sources for online stores that allows them to focus on selling more products and making more money. “- © 2021 NewsCentral Media
