Inspector General of Police (IG), Mr. Mohammed Adamu, approved the deployment of five newly promoted Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) to force departments.

The Force’s public relations officer (FPRO), Mr. Frank Mba, revealed this in a statement Friday in Abuja.

He said the deployment followed a recent promotion of senior police officers by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

“Newly promoted DIGs and their posts include – Usman Baba, Criminal Investigation Department; Ibrahim Lamorde, Bureau of Intelligence (FIB) and David Folawiyo, Department of Information Communications and Technology (ICT).

“The others are Joseph Egbunike, Department of Finance and Administration and Dan-Mallam Mohammed, Department of Training and Development,” he said.

Mba said Mr. Moses Jitoboh, the newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), has been redeployed from the Border Patrol Department to the Research and Planning Department.

He said that IG congratulated the police officers, who became members of the force management team with their promotion.

FPRO said the recompositions took effect immediately. (NAN)
