Ibrahima Konate catches Virgil van Dijk and drops a mysterious Liverpool hint via Jurgen Klopp

Ibrahima Konate is aware that he is strongly connected with the summer transfer to Liverpool.

Afterall, the defender admitted he was awakened by several messages after links to the transfer to Liverpool first surfaced last month.

Such speculation seems to have been on his mind when he participated in the game ‘In That Order’ on the UMM YouTube channel earlier this week.

Giggling, one of the questions posed to the 21-year-old asked him to rank the three most famous football managers in Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. Aware that he would create headlines regardless of the answer chosen, host Harry Pinero graciously allowed him to get around the question.

“No, no, no, no. I don’t think I can answer this question,” he laughed. “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know.”

However, he was later asked to choose the best defender in the world between Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Ramos and David Alaba.

Whether he finds himself together with the Dutchman next season or not, he eventually pushed Liverpool number four when he ranked a trio with a chosen answer that will prove particularly unpopular among Reds fans.

“Ramos. Number one of course,” he insisted without hesitation. “Van Dijk and Alaba.”
