Electricity distribution company Ibadan (IBEDC) Plc provided its customers with free services during the yuletide season.

The Chief Operating Officer of the distribution company, Mr. John Ayodele, in a statement issued yesterday to THISDAY in Ibadan, wished all his customers and Nigerians a safe and enjoyable holiday season, stating that measures have been taken to ensure network stability and smooth business during the holidays.

According to him, “anticipating customer expectations during the holidays, we are fully equipped to ensure that faults are rectified as quickly as possible in our franchise to avoid unnecessary power outages.

Ayodele also called on customers and all Nigerians to show the virtues of love, compassion and peace that are the main pillars embodied by Christmas.

He said that although 2020 was plagued by many challenges, IBEDC continued to demonstrate its commitment to excellent service delivery by creating more Customer Care Units throughout its franchise to address complaints and malfunctions more quickly, upgrading and installing some major electrical infrastructure.

“We have also introduced innovative ICT-driven initiatives and policies to promote real-time meter reading, bill allocation, and generally ensure more efficient operations,” he said.

Ayodele similarly advised customers to use their effortless payment channels to pay bills, such as Quick teller, etransact, PayArena, Jumia and ATM to avoid disconnection during the holidays.

He revealed that the offices will remain open during the holidays from 9 am to 3 pm, and they can also get the company through the customer care line.

He appealed for strict adherence to COVID-19 precautions, as recommended by the NCDC.
