President Muhammadu Buhari said he was “resting briefly” in London, UK.
According to a statement by his senior special assistant for media and publicity, Garbe Shehua, the president revealed this on Thursday in a letter he wrote to the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah ll Bin Al-Hussein, following a recent rift in the royal family.
The statement is titled: ‘President Bukhari writes to King Abdullah of Jordan, expressing good wishes and solidarity.
Shehu quoted Bukhari as saying that he felt very upset when he heard reports of the problem in the royal family, but he felt calm when he learned that everything had been resolved amicably.

The presidential aide quoted Bukhari’s letter as follows: “While I was resting here in London for a short time, I was deeply disturbed when I read from international news agencies the attempts to destabilize the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
“Your exemplary leadership since ascending the throne has aroused admiration around the world.
“Relations between Nigeria and Jordan have been excellent and I thank you for the role you have played in this regard.
” Your Majesty, I am very pleased that things are now resolved and I pray that the Hashemite Kingdom remains not only peaceful but also the main beacon of hope in the region under the wise leadership of Your Majesty. “
