After a long, difficult 2020, Christmas will become a little steamy this year; Bridgerton, a new romance from Netflix and Shondaland, premieres Dec. 25, starring Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page, the series follows members of the Bridgerton family as they try to find love – and discover the identity of a Regency-era gossip girl.
Here’s how to adjust.
Bridgerton will be able to be watched on Netflix.
All eight episodes of the first season will go down at once, for optimal viewing of excessive enjoyment. If you don’t already have a Netflix subscription, sign up here. Plans range from $ 8.99 to $ 17.99 per month.
What about the second season?
Netflix has not confirmed whether the show will get a second chapter, but we’ll certainly update it here as soon as we find out more.
But should you read books about Bridgerton before tweaking?
Certainly not to have to – the Netflix series stands alone. But author Julia Quinn, who wrote the novels on which the show is based, shared that there are a few Easter eggs in the script that will only be truly appreciated by book readers.
“There are definitely few references that will be fun for readers, but also potentially set things up for the future,” she told T&C. “The writers have obviously gone through all eight books with a fine toothbrush and set things up for more seasons.”
