How to enable and use car mode in the Amazon Music app

(Pocket-lint) – Amazon is updating Amazon Music with a new Car Mode feature that makes it easy to use the mobile app while driving.

Car Mode is basically a scaled-down version of the existing interface, along with larger buttons and quick access to suggested playlists, albums, and Alexa. Once enabled, the car mode is displayed in halves: At the top of the phone are playback controls, and at the bottom are music suggestions that you can touch or drag. To switch completely hands-free, you can activate Alexa in the lower corner by tapping or using a voice command.

Plus, Car Mode doesn’t add anything new. It simply redesigns the user interface to make it safer to find music or playlists to play without having to divert focus from driving or the road ahead. Amazon Music can be set to start Car mode as soon as your phone connects to your car’s Bluetooth. If you have an older car without Bluetooth, the car mode can also be enabled in the settings in the Amazon Music mobile app.
