Chelsea have been given reinforcement in condition with a knee injury suffered by Jorginho, which the midfielder’s agent described as a “not serious problem”.

Erling Halland’s father insists that every decision to sign a prolific striker must be in the club, not in the manager.

Haaland will be the subject of a competition this summer with a number of clubs interested in signing the 20-year-old.

The Norwegian has scored 49 goals in 49 games for Borussia Dortmund since moving to Germany from Red Bull Salzburg last January.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all interested in the player, who has a contract in Dortmund until 2024, although there is a dismissal clause that can be activated next summer.
