Governor Abia, Ikpeazu is a ‘drunkard’ – Senator Kogi, Adeyemi

Senator Smart Adeyemi described on Tuesday Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State as “a man who drinks champagne”.

According to Adeyemi, while giving his contribution to the Safe School Initiative initiative in Nigeria, Abijah is run by drunks.

Responding to a post on social media allegedly linked to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who is from Abia, the MP said, “Despite some governors doing their best, we are lucky to have a governor who has taken the security issue as a serious priority.

“It borders nine states, but we have had experiences with unfortunate incidents happening in neighboring states. Some governors are committed to protecting their people. In my state, the governor awarded contracts for the reconstruction of schools and provided them with security services.

“In some countries where we have highly intelligent people, highly educated people, very enterprising people, like Abijah, they are run by drunks. Governor Abia is a man who drinks champagne. The people of Abia are impoverished more than ever before. The people of Abia are unhappy. “

Responding, Abaribe expressed shock at Adeyemi’s comment and called on his colleague to apologize to Governor Abija.

Abaribe said, “Mr. President, I would like to clarify. Unfortunately, what happened here today is one of the problems you see on social media. I never commented on the governor of Kogi state. Never. “
