FC Cincinnati is reportedly interested in striker Flamengo Lincoln, but there is competition

FC Cincinnati is reportedly interested in promising striker Flamengo Lincoln, but there seems to be a lot of competition for his signature.

The striker, who turned 20 on December 16, is reportedly not in the plans of the Brazilian club, although he is under contract until December 31, 2023. He is currently training with U-20, reports Globo Esporte.

Lincoln has scored four goals in 33 appearances for the senior team in all competitions since being promoted on January 1, 2018, including three in 20 appearances in 2020. Lincoln made his professional debut for Flamengo at 16, coming on as a substitute against the Corinthians in the Brazilian Serie A match. A.

FC Cincinnati is also linked to Atalanta star Papu Gomez, who will reportedly leave the Italian club after a dusting with the club manager.

“We are looking for a high-profile DP, a decision-maker,” FC Cincinnati CEO Gerard Nijkamp told a news conference at a press conference when asked if the club is looking for a DP attacking midfielder. “We’re working on it.”

Huddersfield Town from the English Championship has negotiated a loan offer, according to the Daily Mail, and there are reportedly expectations that Ukrainian Dynamo Dynamo from Kiev will return with additional interest after the contract was almost reached in October.

Flamengo accepted FC Paphos’ offer to talk to Lincoln, but a formal agreement, with a salary and a mandate from the Cypriot club, was never reached.

Lincoln, who can also play on any wing, has 13 goals in 29 appearances for the Brazilian youth national team.
