Epic Games

If you are a player – or just visit The Cheapskate occasionally – you probably know that Epic Games gives away at least one free game every Thursday. Epic is shaking things up a bit by the end of 2020. Every day until the New Year, Epic offers a different free game. So not only will you need to act fast to take advantage of your free game, but it pays to sign up often. If you play the cards correctly, you have the opportunity to collect 10 more games that you can play in 2021.

It’s a free game on Wednesday Tropico 5,, the fifth part in everyone’s favorite dictator simulator. This $ 20 title talks about how well you can control your island nation and thrive from the colonial period to the 21st century.

After Wednesday, I will spend the summer with my own Oculus Quest 2 and the Stadium bill for the rest of the week. If you’re curious, it looks like the remaining games will, though the weekend will be Inside, Dark Dungeon, My Time at Portia, and Night in the Woods (those links go to their pages on GameSpot if you want to know more). Do you want one of these for free? You have 24 hours, starting at 08:00 PT (11:00 ET) each morning to request a daily game, after which they will be replaced by entry for the next day.

If you’re new to Epic’s weekly shares, here’s how it works: If you don’t already have one, sign up for your free Epic account. Then simply get your free game, which you will keep forever. You don’t even have to install it right away if you don’t want to.

A full list of daily free games for the rest of the year has leaked. According to an unrelated Twitter user @jovanmunja, the list of games for the rest of the year looks like this. After releasing it on Dec. 18, the list matches perfectly with the releases we’ve seen so far, and here’s a list I relied on earlier in the article to say which games will be available over the holiday weekend:

Epic Games did not respond to a request for comment on the list, but as already mentioned, it has been accurate so far, so we have no reason to believe that other games on the list are not coming either.
