The chairman of the Edo chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, Tony Aziegbemi, assured the citizens of the state government that the administration led by Godwin Obaseki would soon reveal the state’s security strategy.
He said the strategy would ensure that deteriorating security in the state becomes a thing of the past. The party chairman said this at a press briefing in Benin on Wednesday.
Aziegbemi said, “I assure you that the government is working with the relevant agencies to ensure adequate security in the country.
“The holiday period will not be fixed and I will ask the citizens to sleep (with their eyes closed). Governor Godwin Obaseki is not sleeping in that situation.

“The state government would soon come up with a strategy to check the growing insecurity in the state. I assure you. “
Speaking about the appointments made by the governor so far, he said, “In our short submission as a party, it is not the appointment of personal assistants to the governor, it is his prerogative.
“Whether he informs us or not, they are his personal assistants, so the party agrees to the appointment and has done the right thing by appointing the right people to the place.”
