The head of the Osun state chapter of the New People’s Party of Nigeria, Mr. Tosin Odeyemi, called on the Congress of All Progressives to prevail over its leaders and members not to disturb peace in the state.
Odeyemi issued the warning in a statement Monday in Osogba, asking the APC to resolve the rift between Governor Gboyeg Oyetola and his predecessor Rauf Aregbesola.

He warned the APC not to allow its internal crisis to lead to the breakdown of law and order in the country.
The statement read: “It is unfortunate that while the country’s population is still struggling with the economic crisis over COVID-19, the ruling party is dragging a path of violence as it allows its factional crisis to turn snowballs into public war.

“It is also unfortunate that the former governor, and now the Minister of the Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, can allow sentiments to take over in order to make statements that can unnecessarily warm up the politician.
“Our people already have enough to fight than for the ruling party to start another political crisis on the masses. A word is enough for the wise! “
