Gunmen suspected of being kidnappers reportedly killed a corps member and abducted others along the Abuja-Lokoj highway.
Troop members were allegedly attacked on their way from the Ede NYSC orientation camp, Osun state, and were heading home when they were attacked.
The number of abducted troop members has yet to be determined as police, and New York authorities have not commented on the incident.
The body of the deceased corpse member was stored at Sabon Wuse General Hospital in Niger State.
He is said to have graduated in English at Gashua Federal University.
