Leeds United said to sign Tomori

Nigel Martyn has called on Leeds United to withdraw moves for Chelsea defender Fikay Tomori.

The development of the 23-year-old at Chelsea came to a halt after he withdrew from an order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Brazilian star Thiago Silva.

Tomori made just three appearances this season after being a semi-regular last year and making his debut in England.

With the Whites suffering from defensive injuries and receiving six against Manchester United, former goalkeeper Martyn has argued that Tomori should be targeted.

He told The Boot Room: “If you can get a Chelsea player, they obviously don’t think it’s rubbish.

“Depending on the injuries, Leeds needs bodies and better quality – that’s better. If there’s a chance, go get him.

“You have to stop those goals.”
