Chase fans are celebrating the “best” contestant ever against The Beast

Chase it wouldn’t be a success like it is today without its Chasers, but we all know that the real heroes of the ITV gamehow are competitors.

Well, after the episode Chase which aired yesterday (March 24th), it seems that one true hero has now been crowned, and fans of the series greet contestant Ali for performing one of his “best” performances ever.

Although the episode itself was repeated, viewers were thrilled to see Ali take on Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett herself in the final round, securing £ 5,000 in the process. After an intense round of quizzes, Ali managed to add a cash prize with just two questions – and after the Beast pushed away four times.

Fans praised Ali’s beating of the Beast as “heroic” and “one of the best last chases ever”. Another agreed: “I didn’t see him coming … Bravo … One of the best chases of all time …”

“I’ve never felt so proud of someone in pursuit,” one viewer claimed, while others admitted they were “thrilled” by Alija’s modest yet impressive victory.

In the meantime, in others Chase news, Chaser Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha recently revealed that he will not be appearing in the upcoming spin-off series Defeat the Persecutors.

The comedian and master of the quiz could not attend the filming of the new episodes, which show how the Hounds of the show unite and oppose the contestant due to illness.

Chase is broadcast on weekdays at 17:00 on ITV.
