While the free event may have ended for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, there is good news for players who have decided to purchase the full version.
Activision and Treyarch developers have confirmed that the latest Double XP event will continue in the Cold War until December 28th.
And not only will it be available in Black Ops, but it will also expand to Call of Duty Warzone later this week.
According to the latest news from Treyarch, Double XP will be available in Battle Royale on December 25th.
Treyarch confirmed earlier this month: “Starting from 10:00, December 18 to 10:00, December 21, all Operators * (whether you have free access or not) will earn double XP and double weapon bonuses in the available multiplayer modes.
“Bonuses continue at 10:00, December 22 until 10:00, December 28, with a double multi-player Battle Pass XP to unlock the contents of the Battle Pass system twice as fast. That’s a full 10 days to raise the level of your Operator, weapons and Battle Pass system!
“But keep in mind, Double Battle Pass XP is only available in the Black Ops Cold War, and free access ends on December 24th. However, the Double Battle Pass XP bonus then begins for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone from December 25-28. “
The new Double XP event will make it easier for new COD players to start playing this game this week at a faster level in all modes.
And it will also be an incentive for anyone just starting to unlock levels on Battle Pass season 1.
And the latest update released for Black Ops Cold War has brought with it some returnees who are a favorite among fans, including Prop Hunt.
For anyone who has never played it before, below is a complete explanation courtesy of Activision:
“The first thing to know is that the way of working is divided between two teams: Props and Hunter.
“Being a prop is just what it sounds like: you’re playing as a random object specifically designed to fit into the environment of the map you appeared on. Although being a prop is far better than being one of your inanimate peers, you can be destroyed if a hunter finds you and damages you. , and every 30 seconds you have an uncontrolled need to whistle.
“However, since the prop can fit into its surroundings, you should be able to find a nice unobtrusive place to hide.
“As a prop, you’ll get a short period of time to find your hideout before the hunters are released. Every 30 seconds, all the surviving props issue a loud whistle that helps the hunters figure out where they are.
“Apart from finding a phenomenal space to hide and wait for the clock, Props has several other tools at its disposal to fight hunters.”
Deceivers: These are carbon copies of any props you happen to be. Place the lures in areas that will repel hunters while you are sheltered somewhere where they cannot be found. There is art to this and it will take you some time to master, but with enough practice you will be able to use cheats to effectively get the Hunters off their trail.
Change of shape: If if you don’t like your current prop, or if you are noticed and need to escape quickly, you have the option of switching to another. You can only do this a limited number of times, so have your switches counted down and adapt to whatever shape you end up in … Even if it’s as funny as a kid’s piano.
Stun: If the Hunter gets too close for comfort, the Props can stun them with a Flashbang-like explosion. This will give you a few seconds for a quick escape.
