President Muhammad Bukhari on Thursday in Abuja tried to reassure millions of citizens who were disappointed by his observation of a poor solution to the security crisis plaguing the country, saying he could not avoid his responsibility to secure lives with a clear conscience.

In his personal Christmas message to Nigerians commemorating the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ, the President said that providing security to all residents of Nigeria remains his member of the faith.

According to him, security remains “a vital segment of this administration’s three-point agenda from the very beginning, and we must continue to do so.”

Bukhari, who said he is always upset when young people, especially schoolchildren, become victims of insecurity, added that such situations make him feel similar emotional torture and agony that parents and guardians go through.

He appealed to citizens to cooperate with the military and other security agencies in the fight against insecurity by volunteering intelligence on the activities of criminals in order to pay for insecurity.

According to Bukhari, the security crises threatening the country are complex, promising to embark on what he described as a complex, dimensional path to resolving insecurity.

He said Nigerians retained the right to live in an atmosphere of peace, which he described as a recipe for economic growth.

“For me, providing security to all the inhabitants of the country is still a member of the faith. It has formed a vital segment of this three-point agenda from the very beginning and we must continue it.

“I cannot give up these cardinal responsibilities to secure lives and property with a clear conscience. I feel pain whenever a breach of peace and security occurs in any part of the nation. I am even more upset when our young people, especially school children, are the target and victims of mindless and malicious elements in society. As a parent, I share the emotional torture and torment that parents and guardians go through whenever their children and wards fall into the cruel hands of these enemies of decency and good company.

“I ask my compatriots to provide more time, cooperation and support to our military and other security agencies by volunteering with credible intelligence / information on the activities of armed bandits, insurgents and other criminal elements in their communities in order to put an end to our security landscape.”

“It is certain that the problems are beyond the simplified options that are intertwined. We will continue to focus on following a complex, multidimensional path towards reducing cases of uncertainty to a minimum. Our people must be free to live and move without any hindrance or hindrance. This is crucial not only for the establishment of an atmosphere of calm and social cohesion, but also for the growth of the economy.

“Let us use this season of goodwill and joy to renew our faith in the ability of this administration to make a lasting change in the lives of our hardworking people. “Our measures of social intervention and other economic policies are already yielding positive results, even at modest rates,” he said.
