What is Bridgerton about?

Netflix’s official synopsis of the series reads: “Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she debuts in the competitive Regency London marriage market.

“Hoping to follow in their parents’ footsteps and find a game spurred on by true love, Daphne’s prospects seem unparalleled at first. But as her older brother begins to dismiss her potential suitors, a sheet of high-society scandal written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown throws controversy at Daphne.

“Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), a devoted bachelor and catch of the season for the mothers of debutantes. Although they have declared that they do not want anything that others can offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks emerge as they find themselves in an ever-increasing battle of intelligence as they navigate society’s expectations for their future. “

Is Netflix’s Bridgerton different from the novel?

Bridgerton’s first season is largely based on Julia Quinn’s first novel in the Bridgerton series, entitled “The Duke and I,” which focuses on the story of Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset.

However, the drama borrows certain details from later novels in the series, while other actions and characters are completely new additions. The most prominent is the Netflix drama that introduces Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) to the story as an obsessed royal royal chair of high society.

Bridgerton producer Shonda Rhimes says, “You can get to this series because you’ve never read a single book about Bridgerton or you’ve never even heard of Bridgerton’s novels and you’ll be completely immersed in the world, or you could get to this by reading all the last of those millions times, have dog ears and be obsessed and still find new things to see. “

Is there a trailer for Bridgerton?

The initial announcement for Bridgerton fell in November, giving Netflix subscribers a first taste of what the show is preparing.

The full-length trailer was released next month, giving a more detailed overview of the plot, which revolves around Daphne Bridgerton and her rebellious flames, the Duke of Hastings.

“We could pretend to create an attachment … every cheeky mother in town will leave me alone and every suitor will watch you,” Duke Daphne says.

But her brother does not approve of this scheme. See how the drama unfolds below:
